At Waterford West State School, our daily schedule is designed to maximise learning while providing structured breaks to support student wellbeing, engagement, and focus.
We believe that clear routines help create a calm and predictable learning environment. Our timetable ensures all students have access to extended, uninterrupted teaching blocks in the morning and middle sessions — giving teachers time to deliver high-quality instruction in core learning areas, while supporting every child’s needs.
Supervision Before School
Students are supervised from 8:00am each morning in our two Green Zones:
Prep, Year 1 and Year 2 students gather in the Junior Undercover Area
Years 3 to 6 students gather near the Tuckshop Area
Staff are on duty to ensure a safe and calm start to the day. We kindly ask families to ensure students are not dropped off before 8:00am, as supervision is not available prior to this time.
